Artist's Description
THE STORY:
The treasures of play was inspired by the series “Dancing with Joy” 1 & 2.
I photographed these Pink and Grey Galahs in West Australia while they were bathing in late afternoon summer sun. It was a pleasant emotion watching them enjoy creature pleasures.
As I watched I saw the wonder they were experiencing. Like "Dancing with Joy" It seemed to me the life they were showing was reflecting the glory God had placed in their character. I was hooked. After a series of photos, to add this to the series, "The Pillars of Heaven" with a surreal photo-realist edge. I wanted expressions of delight and showmanship as when youth plays under the watchful eye of peers. You will know what I mean if you have experienced this emotion. Do you remember what it was like doing something well and being noticed by your friends? It becomes contagious.
